Today's Tithi shows the panchang for your city: the tithi and when it ends, nakshatra, yoga and karana, sunrise and sunset, muhurtas and choghadiya, and the year’s Ekadashi, Purnima and Amavasya days. It needs no account. By using it you accept these terms.

Every time is computed for the city you choose from the positions of the Sun and Moon, checked against NASA JPL Horizons and the US Naval Observatory, with the Lahiri ayanamsa for nakshatra and yoga. Traditions and panchangs differ, and other panchangs can differ from ours by a minute or two. For a fast, a puja or any ritual, follow your family’s or your temple’s panchang, or your priest. Nothing here is religious or astrological advice.

The site is information only, provided as it is. We work to keep it correct and online, but we don’t promise that it is free of errors or always available.

As far as the law allows, Shimtools is not liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on it, such as a missed or mistimed observance. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Please don’t scrape the site in a way that slows or harms it, misuse its forms (for example, by signing up addresses that aren’t yours), or try to get around its security.

The site’s name, design, text and code belong to Shimtools. The panchang itself, its names and terms, belongs to the tradition, and anyone may compute the same times. The leaf texture is adapted from a photograph by Subhashish Panigrahi under CC BY-SA 3.0, credited on every page. You are welcome to link to any page.
